Agri EC in our area south of Grahamstown consists of 5 smaller Geographical Farmers Associations which have 50 -100 farmers as members each.
Our agricultural association, the Eastern Border Farmers Association (EBFA) (Est. 1917), covers an area which includes Bathurst – Port Alfred – Fish River.
We have a membership of 56 farmers who meet monthly at the Cuylerville Country Club, Shaw Park, where all topics, agricultural and community-related, are ably chaired by our Chairman, Danny Wepener.
Our meetings are attended by representatives from SAPS and rural safety security where feedback and questions are addressed. As a member of our association, farmers also have access to membership of the provincial agricultural body, AgriEC. This allows for efficient coordination channels to ensure the maximum benefit to our members.
